Apparently, many of those who voted in North Carolina to ban gay marriage say that they didn’t even know what the amendment was about, or thought that it was banning just marriage, not civil unions and domestic partnerships. This right here is the reason why things keep going in the shitter. Seriously, why would you vote on something if you don’t even know what you’re voting on. It’s not like its a facebook poll or majority vote on whats for dinner. You’d think that votes on bills, laws, amendments, PRESIDENTS, would be accurate, but apparently not. If you aren’t going to take voting seriously, then why not leave it to those who actually give a shit about whats being decided. OH yeah, because GOD FORBID IF GAYS CAN GET MARRIED.
What do you do when you’re taking a test that you don’t know the answers to but the teacher says its important to at least pick an answer, even if its wrong? You pick any answer.
What do you do when voting time comes and you’re not totally sure what you’re voting on, but you’re told its important that you exercise your right to vote? You pick any side.
So you can study up on the things that affect the country you live in, or you can just repeat everything the media tells you and, pretend to be involved with the world, and live with knowing that you’re dishonesty towards this country and the people who inhabit it is contributing to its downfall.
